Here's a 1981 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe that is being offered. It's not for the collector, but rather for the gigging musician or player. It's never been broken or repaired, but does have changed tuners, had an extra strap button, a plaque on the back of the headstock above the serial number, and small brads added by the knobs.
There's a small crack in the pick guard by the mounting screw and a crack in the finish by the treble bridge stud (in the finish only).
As you can see, the electronics and pickups are original and all solder joints untouched.
The neck is nice and straight and the frets are original and with plenty of meat on them for many more years of playing.
It sets up anyway you want, and I currently have it with low action and with a fresh set of 10-46's.
As you can see, it has a Gibson TP-6 that appears to be original to the guitar...this allows for fine tuning adjustments on the fly.
It ships in it's original hard-shell case as shown.
